McLeod Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Occupational Health team as a Float Practitioner. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive healthcare services to a diverse range of patients across multiple sites.

Qualifications/Training:
Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area . With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds , including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.

Qualifications/Training:
- Minimum of a master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner required.
- A valid SC RN License as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) verified by the LLR.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by approved accrediting agency.
- Prescriptive privileges or are eligible to apply.
- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Assesses needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
- Records physical findings, and formulates plans and prognosis, based on patient's condition.
- Plans, implements, and coordinates care to meet the holistic age specific needs of patients.
- Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.
- Demonstrates professionalism and integrity.
- Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician.
- Discusses case with physician and other heal professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, diagnosing, and treating a variety of medical conditions.
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results.
- Educate patients on disease management, prevention, and wellness.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in occupational health and medicine.
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and policies.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field, with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies.
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification to practice in the state.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in an occupational health setting.
- Excellent clinical skills and a strong understanding of medical diagnosis and treatment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of patient interactions.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical software.
- Current CPR certification.
- Willingness to travel and work across multiple McLeod Health sites.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
