2017 UAPRN Cobb & Cherokee Chapter (CCC) Elected Officers

Happy New Year!!  Hoping everyone enjoyed the Holiday season!

Cobb and Cherokee Chapter (CCC) is one of thirteen Georgia state wide UAPRN Chapters.  As all other state-wide chapters, the Cobb and Cherokee Chapter will also continue supporting the ultimate state wide goals.  During last year's UAPRN State Conference, held in Savannah, our UAPRN State President, Dr. Nelson stated the state wide goals. Overwhelming, one specific state wide goal took presedence.  As explained by Dr. Nelson it is vitally important for all UAPRN of Georgia to work together as "ONE VOICE" in hopes of increasing access to healthcare for Georgians.

CCC looks forward to yet another exciting year by planning to continue our current opportunities, in addition to providing fresh new opportunities (listed below) for members.

Examples include:

  • 2 monthly dinner meetings
  • multiple opportunities to visit the State Capital as the "UAPRN of the Day"
  • priceless option to participate in educational "boot-camps" to learn about our legislative process, which ultimately has a significant impact on our day to day practice authority
  • ability to participate in the UAPRN State Conference
  • CME credit
  • networking
  • job searching, posting positions
  • preceptorship options
  • priceless venues in which provide UAPRN members to met, establish and maintain relationships state-wide and within local communities

During 2016 the CCC's PAID membership expanded by 33% and we look forward to further expansion in 2017.  In response to our Chapter's significant growth, a few necceasry adjustments will be put into place for 2017.  Our organization's viability is directly related to our monetary resources, hence the importance of our yearly PAID memberships. The Chapter's ability to provide it's members with opportunities can either be severely limited or vastly expanded based upon it's paid memberships.

As in any membership, active paid members should, rightly so, have top priority in participation.  So, to assure your 2017 participation availablity, it's recommended to go ahead and renew and or join as a active paid member ($100).  Some employers may reimburse for such memberships, possibly listed under "professional Organizations" and or possibly part of "CME" package.  It may be worth inquiring about this with the employer's office manager and or HR department.
